Welcome to our gallery featuring the astounding Fincastle renovation project, designed by Pohl Rosa Pohl. A beautifully lit 1929 Tudor house provided the base for this project. The designers preserved the essential essence of the home, borrowing thematic whimsy from the original while applying stylistic spice with contemporary craft and detail.
The house was transformed over 14 months with informed and meticulous care, integrating additions and features into the home without perverting its original integrity.
While building a large, open addition in the rear of the house that afforded ample space for a new kitchen, only one significant interior wall was removed. This space was then fitted with a convenient bar area that leads into the kitchen. This is where the original plan fades into the new, so the look is not too modern, not too traditional.
