The Australian Open saw a major change this season. Jannik Sinner beat Novak Djokovic in the semifinal to become the finalist of a grand slam for the first time in his career. The Italian player effectively ended Djokovic’s chance at the 11th Australian Open and gained millions of fans around the world. Sinner not only achieved another win over a rank 1 player.

The Italian youngster also went on to create a notable change in the Australian slam, which was shared by Jessica Pegula on her Instagram story. The change involved Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal as well.

The record was recently beaten by Jannik Sinner as he eliminated the Serbinator from his favorite slam. It became the first time since 2005 that a player from the big three was not a part of the final of the Australian Open. The achievement was shared by Jessica Pegula on her Instagram story as she shared a post made by ESPN.

Along with ousting one of the big three, Sinner created another historic record. He is the first Italian finalist in the history of the men’s singles Australian Open tournament! No Italian player has stood where he is currently. If he wins the slam, it will again create history in the tournament. Although he won against Novak Djokovic, he had to emulate him at one level to go past him.

Sinner’s coach puts a bit of Novak Djokovic in him Sinner has improved his on-court game significantly since joining the 40-year-old coach Vagnozzi in 2022, and he is now ranked in the top five. Speaking about his Serbian opponent, Sinner’s coach Vagnozzi said, “Novak is an example, an extraordinary champion, he always has been. This winter we tried to put a bit of Djokovic in Jannik, starting with tactics. Nole always plays chess during the match, he knows where to hit each shot and which every blow will provoke a counter-move.”

It proved to be a great strategy for the two stars as Sinner managed to blow past Djokovic and play in his first grand slam final. Now, he will aim to win the trophy.
